At Mérieux NutriSciences | Blonk we're looking for a LCA/Footprinting Business Development Manager to expand our footprinting products and services in France.

As an LCA/Footprinting Business Development Manager, you will join our international LCA/Footprinting team driven by Mérieux NutriScience | Blonk in the Netherlands.
Your focus will be on the expansion of our LCA/Footprinting offer within the French market. In this position you are responsible for developing the LCA/Footprinting business in France working in close collaboration with the Managing Director of Mérieux NutriSciences | Blonk in the Netherlands.
Your primary goal is to expand and deliver high-quality LCA/Footprinting services within the agri-food sector, offering specialized expertise, strategic advice, and actionable insights.
Developing strategy & service offer
Consolidate market knowledge focusing on customers needs & competitive landscape.
Finetune the portfolio of services to be developed, define the related strategy and organization supporting the business development.
Onboard the sales, Customer Care and Marketing teams of our existing business to get their buy-in and collaboration in the development of our LCA/Footprinting offer.
Defining and executing the Go-to-Market strategy
Define Go-to-Market strategy by targeted customers.
Sell solutions to customers and draft offers/quotations aligned with the Environmental Footprinting team’s pricing strategy.
Identify and build relationships with the main stakeholders in the footprinting space.
Project Management
Oversee contracts & develop work processes.
Coordinate the projects execution with the support of Mérieux NutriScience | Blonk teams.
Being responsible for project deliveries.
Building and managing your team
In a second step and to support the growth of the business, you will be responsible to recruit and manage a local team of consultants and LCA experts in France, fostering a supportive team culture focused on growth and wellbeing.
Solid experience in Environmental Footprinting or Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) business development, ideally acquired within the agri-food sector.
a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
Strong knowledge of specific industries in the French market, such as manufacturing, agriculture, or energy, and understanding their environmental impact considerations.
Solid background in international LCA standards, such as ISO 14040 and ISO 14044, and an understanding of relevant regional regulations related to Environmental Footprinting.
Ability to develop business and to collaborate with different teams in an international environment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and drive results through collaboration and innovation.
Fluent in spoken and written French.
Located in France (no remote position).
Besides that, you are fluent in English and ready to commute regularly to our Dutch office based in Gouda during the first months of your employment for a smooth onboarding and training on footprinting methodologies and tools.
