About the role

As the Manager Consultancy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of Blonk’s consultancy division. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you’ll lead a dynamic team of 20+ highly skilled consultants with unique expertise in agri-food LCAs. Your main responsibilities will include: 

Division and Process Management: Oversee all operational activities related to the Consultancy division, ensuring optimal performance in project delivery, client management, and resource allocation. This includes leading budget planning, forecasting, and alignment with strategic goals. 

Team Leadership and Development: Foster a high-performance culture that encourages excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Mentor and support your team in developing their skills and expertise. Participate actively in recruitment and talent development to build a strong consultancy division. 

Business strategy: Collaborate closely with the General Manager, the Commercial Director and other members of the Management Team (of which you are an integral member) to formulate, implement, drive and monitor the business development strategy for the Consultancy division. 

Division and Process Management: Oversee all operational activities related to the Consultancy division, ensuring optimal performance in project delivery, client management, and resource allocation. This includes leading budget planning, forecasting, and alignment with strategic goals. 

Client Relations and Project Oversight: Cultivate strong client relationships and support team members in managing complex projects that are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Establish Blonk as a trusted advisor in the sustainability sector, offering expert solutions that support clients’ long-term sustainability targets. 

Innovation and Quality Management: Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, maintaining Blonk’s leadership in sustainability consulting. Uphold high standards, ensuring compliance with data security and methodological integrity. 

LCA and Methodology Expertise: Ensure that critical LCA knowledge is shared within both your team and with clients, that our methods remain at the forefront of scientific rigor, and that we actively contribute to the development and implementation of our LCA frameworks. 

About you

• You are a recognized leader in environmental footprinting and a technical expert in LCA with 10+ years of consultancy experience, out of which 6+ in LCA/footprinting. 

• You are a thoughtful strategic leader who knows how to develop, empower, and guide the team through change to success. 

• You have a strong ownership mindset, entrepreneurial drive, and proven experience in business scaling, market expansion, and operational management. 

• You are adept at engaging stakeholders, resolving conflicts, and creating win-win solutions. 

• Translating vision into innovative, actionable solutions is in your DNA.

5. Contract for 32-40 hours per week.
