Your responsibilities and tasks
As a Sales Engineer Sustainability Software you will be responsible for the B2B sales of our modular LCA software products and services, targeted at sustainability experts in the agri-food domain. This is an exciting time to join our team and help us define the go-to-market strategy for our LCA software. In your daily work you will expand our business and will be one of the first points of contact for prospects and leads. You will be responsible for establishing customer rapport, assessing the technical viability of potential client cases, providing creative solutions, and owning the sales process from start to finish.
This includes keeping track of our sales funnel, administration in our CRM system, answering technical questions, translating customer needs to our software development team, and the proactive identification of potential clients. Your creativity and customer-oriented mindset will play a big role in this. You will establish networks with industry specialists, maintaining valued customer relationships, and play a major role in negotiating deals.
Besides that, you will work closely with our Business Development and Sales team as well as Marketing and Communication team to bring Blonk’s new software products to the market.
We are a small but growing team, so there is plenty of room for your own initiative. Your main responsibilities will include:
Present Mérieux NutriSciences | Blonk’s capabilities and offerings to leads for technical and non-technical audiences.
Research the functional requirements of an opportunity, and scope and design a feasible solution.
Propose, organize, and execute pilots (including explaining and demonstrating Blonk APIs, plus training on how to interpret results) as part of the sales process.
Act as a liaison between the Sales team and the Software team.
Develop detailed, precise, and practical proposal documents.
Negotiate on License Agreements, EULAs, SLAs and other relevant contracts.
Develop and maintain client relationships over time.
Provide customer support to our software clients.
Gather customer feedback and translate into actionable reports, which should be presented to Product, Sales and Business Development teams.
Attend relevant conferences and industry events.
Research new markets/opportunities: identifying areas for business expansion and finding new growth opportunities, based on insights gleaned from customer interactions and feedback.
Ensure Blonk reaches software sales targets.
